Family Visit To Kansas

We took a family vacation to Kansas over the holidays to visit my daughter, Alicia and my son-in-law, Scott. They bought a house about 2 months ago and wanted to spend their first Christmas there. Who could blame them? So my husband, Shawn, daughter, Sammi, my mother, Natalie and I decided to be with them for Christmas Eve, Christmas and a few days after. Not only was this a family visit, but a Christmas gift for all of us. We didn't spend much on presents since being together was more important than things. Actually my first priority is my health so that I can take care of my family, then my volunteer time. I ended up eating at the table though because I was already showered and dressed when my breakfast was brought into the bedroom. She was so cute carrying the tray of scrambled eggs and toast. I got a Winnie The Pooh card from Peanut and a cake that she decorated at school. I also got a Mickey Mouse card from Hubby with a unique vase and flowers (it wasn't really a bouquet, just a small bunch of flowers that were beautifully decorated with a long feather as the center piece). I got a … [Read more...]
