Family Visit To Kansas

We took a family vacation to Kansas over the holidays to visit my daughter, Alicia and my son-in-law, Scott. They bought a house about 2 months ago and wanted to spend their first Christmas there. Not only was this a family visit, but a Christmas gift for all of us. We didn't spend much on presents since being together was more important than things. Alicia and Scott were worried that they still had work to do in their house and … [Read more...]

Belated Merry Christmas

A belated Merry Christmas to my readers! I hope that you had a day filled with happiness and spent with those you love. I began my day opening presents with my family. It was so nice to see the look of shock, surprise and joy on Samantha's face when she received gifts that she was wishing for and asked Santa for. I was even amazed when I got an iPhone from Santa! We buy fish from a local fish market, clean it and cook it. This process takes about two days. When I was a young teenager, I remember cleaning 10 pounds of shrimp! There's lots of other seafood that needs to be cleaned well too. The traditional Italian … [Read more...]
