Release your Inner-Nerd: Awesome Gadgets and Apps to Satisfy the Minds of Science and Weather Geeks

It’s difficult to find gifts people will like. It’s awkward to both give and get that which we don’t want. Sure, it’s the thought that counts but you can’t count the number of times you’ve seen flashes of disappointment. My husband always says I'm so hard to shop for. I'm not shy about my interests, and I blatantly point out things I want all the time. For instance, I'm a weather geek, so much so that family and friends watch the weather report then call me to see if I agree! Here are a few apps, gadgets, and tools that make great gifts for weather lovers like myself! We’re Homeschooling! & A Free Learning Activity

School is coming to an end, and that entails a really big change for us. In 12 days we will officially become a homeschooling family. I will not go into detail right now about the issues we have faced this year, but we have been extremely unhappy with our daughter's educational experience. My husband was very resistant to homeschooling when I first brought it up before our daughter started school. That's a far cry from my husband who begged me to pull her out of the system weeks ago, but my daughter wanted to finish the year with her friends. She’s always been there for you regardless of what she had going on in her own life, and she’s always put your needs before hers. Give her something worthy of … [Read more...]

Many people don’t take childhood anxiety as seriously as perhaps they should, often putting it down to "just a phase all kids go through". No one should have to live with a debilitating anxiety disorder, least of all a child, and the world of technology has responded. … [Read more...]

WILD KRATTS: PANDA-MONIUM Released on DVD Today!

Day 2 of Spring Break just ended, and I'm already dreading sending my daughter back to school next week. I miss having her home with me, and I can't wait for this school year to end. We will be homeschooling next year, and I can't wait to spend my days with both of my girls again! This year I decided not to plan some big family trip or to schedule out our days. We're going with the flow and enjoying our break. Yesterday we spent most of the day outside in the sunshine, but it left us all a little sunburned and drained today. This morning Ellie asked if we could have an indoor day, and I was … [Read more...]
