• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

    I Heart Michael Johns

    April 13th, 2008

I feel a bit like a star struck teenager so I thought my post title was fitting. There are a few great looking and talented men on American Idol this season. Notice the word men? That means I don’t include David Archuleta in my top picks. He’s got talent but it’s not the type I want to see win American Idol. He’s so fake it scares me.

Now Michael Johns was one of favorites. I didn’t think he’d win but I thought he’d be in at least the last three or four. I’m still shocked that he’s gone. I know that David Cook will be in the final three. He’s actually my pick for winner this year.

As for the females I sure hope that Carly Smithson makes it to the final three. That girl can rock and her voice is amazing. I’m on the fence with Brooke White. I want to like her because she’s just so darn sweet. Her voice is sweet too and after a while I guess that can get annoying.

What jars me so much is the darn commercials during American Idol. I’m sitting there, glued to the show and then they go to a commercial. Wham, it’s so loud I practically jump outta my seat. Then I listen to the drivel that comes out of them and the moment is gone. I mean imagine hearing about cars, popcorn or lawyers who deal with mesothelioma cases? It’s as if the bubble has burst and I have to get back into the groove when the show starts again.

    I wish I had TIVO….

    Ramiele Malubay Off American Idol

    April 4th, 2008

Although I haven’t been blogging about it, I have been watching American Idol. To see Ramiele Malubay get booted was something I knew would happen sooner or later, but to see her get booted when after a night of song choices that made me wince, made me felt sorry for her.

I love Dolly Parton. She’s an entertainer, but a singer, ummm no. Yes she can write good lyrics but are they the types of songs we expect on AI? And did you see her get up when she sang? OMGosh! It was awful. She scared me with her continued laughing and not answering Ryan’s questions. Is she hard of hearing? Trying to avoid the conflicts on AI?

Come on American Idol. let’s get some singers these young (by your rules) wanna be singers can make some use of. This year’s talent is better, I give you that. But why do you insist on embarrassing the contestants? Who are you going to get next as their “singer coach” – Robert Goulet?

My prediction for this year is David Cook. There are others that are excellent and will get a career out of this too, but I think he’ll win based on the judges overwhelming support which does a lot to steer the audience voting.

    Lost and Confuzzled

I’m still thinking about the premier of Lost last night. That show is one of the best I’ve ever seen. I’m not a mystery or horror fan but Lost goes beyond these genres. It messes with my mind but in a good way, keeps the few bit of brain cells I have working moving around trying to connect with some of the dead or buried ones. The suspense, the intrigue, it gets me. The acting, the actors (oh yummy Jack and Sawyer!), the story line, the whole shebang is something I’ll be looking forward to each week.

I may rent the older seasons and take the time to re-watch them. I really don’t know if I’d have the time to do it. Lady Ali has all of them but won’t let me borrow them. She’s my own daughter but that’s just down right mean! What does she think I’ll do with them?

I’m not much into TV so to have this show back on the air makes me very happy. I like that there’s something else to watch besides American Idol which is getting old. Last year I was into that because I felt that Blake was offering some different types of music (newer and better) to the public, but what do I know? I haven’t seen anything from him since last season.

I may not be a TV critic but I know what I like. Lost is right up there with M*A*S*H* and Seinfeld and I’ll be making sure that I’m home in front of the TV to watch it each week.

    News Shows

    January 15th, 2008

I’ve become a bit addicted to those entertainment “news” shows. I can’t believe that I watch them. This is a confession because I’m not one to watch these kind of things at all. I usually watch CNN, Sundance Channel, our local news, Lost, American Idol and some comedies like The Office and Ugly Betty.

But these gossipy shows have now got a hold on me. Sometimes I don’t even know who they’re talking about because I’m not up on current music and movies. OK you can say I’m boring or a prude. It’s just how I am though.

The thing that gets me caught up in these shows is the interviews. To hear the questions that the celebs are asked first of all amazes me. It reminds me of my days of reading Teen Beat. I imagine the paparazzi or interviewer asking, “What’s your favorite color?” next. And then to hear the answers…woah. Do these people live on our planet? I don’t think you get famous be being smart.

The latest news on Britney Spears has me glued to my seat. Then there’s Lindsay Lohan. The two of them should open up their own chain of drug rehabs. I do get a bit sad when there’s serious problems like these on these type of shows, but most of the time I’m laughing too hard.

Baldness or hair loss usually refers to too much hair loss of hair from scalp. People who loss their hair usually go for hair transplant surgery or wig. Most of the people usually go for human hair extension in order to look cool.
