Halloween Crafting Ideas

I am an Oriental Trading Ambassador and receive products to facilitate my posts. All opinions are my own. The girls have been begging for an art activity with painting, so Saturday was art day. I have been wanting to make a Halloween wreath for our barn door. We decorate the barn as a (not so scary) Haunted House for the littles each year, but the entry door is always lacking. I thought what better way to keep the girls occupied while I craft than to have their own Halloween projects? I have been planning this activity day for a few weeks, and it was so easy to order all the supplies we … [Read more...]

We’re Homeschooling! & A Free Learning Activity

School is coming to an end, and that entails a really big change for us. In 12 days we will officially become a homeschooling family. I will not go into detail right now about the issues we have faced this year, but we have been extremely unhappy with our daughter's educational experience. My husband was very resistant to homeschooling when I first brought it up before our daughter started school. A Fun BINGO Twist for Your Next Family Party

Family parties and family reunions are a great way to bring generations of young and old together, especially when family members have moved away and can’t get together very often. These types of gatherings often feature a large number of relatives and their children, and while it can be fun for adults children are often bored or uneasy meeting many relatives they may not know. We usually have a few smaller family gatherings throughout the year and one large reunion so those who live farther away have a chance to attend. I often notice children, especially my own, act really shy around … [Read more...]
