Promote Logic and Problem Solving with Back Spin from ThinkFun

ThinkFun provided me with product to test in the hopes I would share with my readers. All opinions are my own. Ellie has been asking for some "just the two of us time" lately. She understands when we're at home most days we can't leave her little sister out of our activities. So, I have been trying my best to find some activities we can do together in the few moments we do have "alone". Ellie's favorite thing to do with me right now? Board games! We had a pretty busy weekend, and Aubrey must have decided she needed a little bit of extra catch up sleep today because she took a nap for the … [Read more...]

I often notice children, especially my own, act really shy around … [Read more...]

This wasn't such a big issue when we only had 1 child and a play room. These days we have double the toys, plus the play room had to be converted to a bedroom leaving us with less space for toy clutter. And what's the worst part? My girls don't play with half of the toys they own on a regular basis. My 2 year old wants to do whatever her older sister is doing, so I didn't realize just how few "baby" toys we have around here these days. The realization hit me when I was preparing for a friend to bring over her 13 month old, and I thought I would put a basket of toys in the living room he could play with. I pulled the few toddler aged toys we have out, and I watched as Aubrey happily played along side him … [Read more...]
