My 6 year old, Ellie, has been sick the whole school year. She came down with a cold a few days after she started Kindergarten, and the non-stop cycle has continued for months. Colds, pink eye, Hand Foot and Mouth (both strains), stomach viruses...you name it, she's had it. Of course many of the germs have passed through the family, and we have all had a rough Winter. With constantly sick kids, battling my own … [Read more...]

Dine at Red Robin to Earn Money for Your School

*This is a sponsored post on behalf of VolunteerSpot and Red Robin* As a mom of a child who is now in school I am constantly looking for ways to help out or earn money for my child's school. This content was made possible by VolunteerSpot and the Bright Schools Competition. Does your child get enough sleep at night? Students who don't get enough sleep are more likely to suffer from behavioral issues that can range from rule breaking to more severe problems like depression and anxiety. Children who get the recommended amount of sleep are more creative, perform better in school, and have more self-control. My oldest has battled sleep issues much of her life. She is cranky when she doesn't get enough sleep, and has a really hard time concentrating throughout the day. She is more … [Read more...]
