• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

    Free eBay Ads

    February 26th, 2009

My wonderful friend Shirley helped me fix up my website, ShawnsBidness, that offers free eBay ads. My Hubby and I own that site. We still need to do some more work on it, but got the first two pages done for now. It takes a lot of work to keep up a website and it’s nice to know that my friend is there to help me out.

She’s going to teach me how to link up some of the things we’re selling to our PayPal account too. Right now we don’t have anything for sale on eBay, but plan on listing some things soon. We still have a lot of Disney items that we can list.

Shirley is a blogger, but I know her from DOUA, Disabled Online Users Association. We were able to meet in person a couple of years ago when she came to Florida to visit with her daughter. She lives up north and often sends Peanut photos of the snow. Peanut wants to see the snow very badly so these photos make her excited.

    Cyber Monday Online

    November 30th, 2008

More shopping? Can I handle it? I need to so I can get my Christmas list all done. Then I can pat myself on the back knowing that I didn’t have to leave my house to shop except to pick up some things that I had shipped to the store to save on shipping fees and I didn’t over spend at all. In fact I saved money and I’m almost done!

The good thing about Cyber Monday shopping is that it’s not going to be hectic. I won’t have to feel rushed and will have more time to browse and take it easy. I’m going to be checking out Buy.com USA, eBay’s $1 Holiday Doorbusters, and I’ll be checking out if anything pops up on Twitter.

I heard there’s going to be some sort of giveaway from people who have listed holiday guides on their blogs and websites but I can’t find the information right now.

    Making Work Easier

    September 25th, 2008

I know a lot of work at home moms through the forums I belong to. They are not only blogging but running a business too. Some sell products on their own websites, on eBay, on Etsy or other online sites.

The women I’ve come to learn are trying to find ways to save time as well as earn money of course. I feel the same way! Hubby and I still sell on eBay and it takes a lot of time to take photos, write descriptions, list and promote as well as ship items. It all takes too much time when you have a family to raise.

With my regular responsibilities my head feels like a whirlwind sometimes. I would love to have a virtual assistant to help with going through emails, handling giveaways, dealing with customers, etc. What would even be better would be a virtual memory stick so I can remember things and juggle all of them.

There really is a way to help all of WAHM’s. Imagine not ever having to go to the Post Office again. Save gas money and over 80% on postage.
