• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

    Mad Hatter Costume Review

    July 28th, 2010

I never thought I’d be getting a Mad Hatter costume in July, but I did.  Surprisingly, it will be used in the next month. Costumes are not just for Halloween, even for tweens. My daughter Sammi always liked to dress up when we visit Disney World, but in the past few years her interest has waned. She feels that most of the costumes she used to wear are too childish for her.

The Mad Hatter Costume For Child from Costume Discounters made my daughter and me very happy. It is a black dress with a big green bow, pink short sleeves and petticoat and colorful tea cup appliques. The dress  fits perfectly. The pink huge hat is adorable. It has the cute factor written all over it.

My daughter Sammi is looking forward to wearing this to Disney in August to celebrate the Alice in Wonderland movie. Although this is “girly” she truly likes it. After trying it on, she wore it around the house today and was dancing around. Even a 11 year old can take a Girls Halloween Costume and use it for dress up play!

This Mad Hatter Costume is well made, easy to put on and take off, comfortable and unique. The hat was squashed in the package, but opened up without a wrinkle. The price is only $23.97 and the retail value is $39.99. Costume Discounters’ Mad Hatter Costume was great deal.

This post was written for Family Review Network & Costume Discounters who provided the complimentary product in exchange for my honest review.

Elmer’s Bag It Forward Title 1 School #Bagitforward

    July 18th, 2010

I took part in the Elmer’s Bag It Forward project and will donate school items to a Title 1 school in Florida. Thanks to Collective Bias, I was given a stipend to spend on notebooks, pencils, paper, crayons, glue and the the things that children need in public elementary school. Title 1 schools have a population of students who are in the low income category. Their families may not be able to afford school items, uniforms and are more likely to be eligible for free or lunch.

Agoo’s Tushie Huggers are adorable. They’re designed for little girls and boys on the move. Be it crawling, climbing, running or dancing, they offer protection with fabulous function and flare. Kids Spinbrush My Way Review And Coupon

    July 2nd, 2010

Arm & Hammer Kids Spinbrush My Way toothbrush is a hit in my house. With an 11 year old girl who dislikes brushing her teeth and needs reminders two times a day, I’m always looking for something to make her commit to keeping her teeth clean.

Sammi’s at the age where character toothbrushes are no longer her style and kid’s toothpaste only goes so far. She has been asking for a powered toothbrush, but I don’t want to spend the money on one that will just sit there. The Spinbrush My Way is battery powered and just $6.99 (MRSP). It even includes two AAA batteries.

My Review: Having the ability to decorate the Spinbrush the way my daughter likes is a huge plus. She customized it to her taste using the included 140 stickers. I find her brushing longer and correctly by moving the toothbrush around her mouth while it spins. She’s even shown it off to her friends! The small brush head is a huge plus because my daughter has a small mouth and the price fits my budget. The only downfall is that you can’t replace the brush heads for this type of Spinbrush, but you can remove them and clean them.

Buy It: You can find Kids Spinbrush My Way in almost any drug store, big box stores and even grocery stores. You can also purchase Spin Brush Kids My Way – 1 Pack on Amazon.com.

Discount: Get a coupon for $2 off your purchase of a Spinbrush My Way toothbrush.

Disclosure: I was provided with a Spinbrush My Way toothbrush in order to complete my review. All opinions are my own.
