I'm Connie Roberts aka ConnieFoggles. I am married and have an adult daughter and one that is 11 years old. When I was diagnosed with a major chronic illness at the age of 40, I began a blog to learn how to cope with my life changes. Now, I am proud to say that I author 3 blogs (see below), am active on Social Networking Sites and forums for bloggers and people with health issues. I am definitely a Multitasking Mom!
Having the unique life experience of parenting a child into adulthood and currently parenting a tween child, I am well versed in all areas of being a mother. My blogs allow me to share my knowledge and the new information I learn as I continue to want the best for my daughters. Saving money and finding family friendly products is a big part of my life, so my product reviews include much detail. Being an advocate for myself and for other people with health conditions and disabilities, enables me to write about medical products, equipment and people who inspire me because they strive through difficulties and make positive outcomes.
Volunteering has always been a major part of my life and I continue to do this both online and offline. I believe in paying it forward. I am a mentor on the Disabled Online Users Association (DOUA.org) where I teach members about blogging and how to monetize their blogs. I also was part of a online radio show for National Invisible Illness Week in 2008, where I spoke about monetizing your blog. I often write about non-profits and help out fellow bloggers.
My blog Brain Foggles was voted \"Overall Winner\" in the Murray Newlands Summer Blog Competition. The judges included Ted Murphy, CEO of Izea, and Steve Hall of Adrants.com among others. This gave me the opportunity to attend the Affiliate Summit East 09 in NYC.
I attended IzeaFest in October 2009 and spoke on the doterati Blogging Demystified Panel. I also attended the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration in February 2010 and the Tampa SmartMoms Solutions Roadshow in May 2010. I will be attending BlogHer10. There will be other social media events in the future and I can\'t wait! Connecting with my readers, other bloggers and marketers is my ongoing goal.
Brain Foggles provides product reviews on family friendly items in the author's own voice, provides bloggers with helpful tips and parents with advice and information.
Get advice on parenting, keeping family traditions, creating crafts, choosing children's books, and educating your children at Connie's Views.
My Chronic Life tells the story of a woman with multiple chronic illnesses who is an advocate for people with health issues and disabilities. Find information on medical equipment and supplies and support with a bit of humor on the side.
I reside in Spring Hill, Florida, which is part of the Tampa-St. Petersburg metro area. I'm also close to Orlando and visit both areas on a regular basis.
