Keeping Germs at Bay

Just when we thought we would see this Winter pass us by without a single flake, the snow decided to hit full force. I'm usually a sucker for a good snow. I love seeing everything covered in white.   I love building snowmen with the kids, sledding down the hill, and enjoying a little bit of downtime from the hectic pace life usually brings on a daily basis. As with a lot of small southern towns ours completely shuts down during snow, so you really have no choice but to stay at home. I guess you could also say I'm the typical southerner who gets all excited to see the snow, but I … [Read more...]

We always have a great time, and seeing all those smiling faces makes me happy. The downside to being the party host is parties can get pretty expensive. While I tend to go bigger for my … [Read more...]

This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/P&G.The flu has been running rampant here for a little over a month now, and that makes me nervous. When flu season rolls around I admit my anxiety flares up a bit. I hate it when someone in my family is sick, especially my girls. I fear coming down with the flu or a bad cold myself when I have two little ones who need me. Dear body, you can't get sick. Okay?  My Facebook news feed has been full of people complaining about how horrible they feel or how they're heading to the doctor. Last week my sister-in-law caught a nasty cold for the second time … [Read more...]

I received a free book in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own. Posts may contain affiliate links. There isn't much I love more than books, and I enjoy passing my love of reading to my girls. I'm very happy my 5 year old loves reading just as much as I do, and we spend at least 30 minutes each night reading together. A new book was recently added to her collection, Have I Told You Today How Much I Love You? by Cheryl Sturm. Cheryl Sturm originally wrote this fun children's book as a way to express her love for her nieces and nephews. The book takes the measurement of love … [Read more...]
