How To Buy A Used Car That’s Right For Your Lifestyle

Sponsored Post. I am not a fan of big purchases, but sometimes it is inevitable. One such purchase we just cannot avoid is a reliable new car. In our case, it will be a new to us used car, but it is still a big purchase I can't take lightly. We don't buy a new car every couple of years. We don't upgrade just because we want to. We buy a new car because we have to. My car is sitting in the driveway with it's third blown transmission, and enough is enough! I'm thankful for a mechanically minded husband who can repair our vehicles, but I'm so tired of seeing this happening too many times a … [Read more...]

The #Etsy Seller’s #PSA : Why Processing Times Are Important

Okay, guys, it's time for me, an Etsy seller, to get real with customers. 99% of Etsy customers are great, and although I really hate putting out anything negative about that other 1%, sometimes something needs to be said.    Over the last few days I have dealt with multiple...too many to count on my fingers and toes...messages saying "oh, and I know your processing time is 5-10 days, but I need that shipped across the country in 2 days or I'll leave a bad review!" If the buyer had contacted me before purchase, I would kindly let that person know if it is possible or not to get an … [Read more...]

A quick snowstorm dropped about an inch of snow on us last night, and I spent the evening hours rearranging our lesson plans for today to accommodate the snow. I couldn't expect the girls to sit down calmly at their desks working on worksheets all morning with the elusive white stuff outside calling their names! After all, snow is usually a once or twice a year treat around here. So, we spent the morning enjoying … [Read more...]

I’ve Got a Bone to Pick With Mother Nature

One of my 2018 goals is to get back on track with blogging. So far, my year hasn't gotten off to a great start. Last week I sat down with my handy dandy notebook because I'm old school like that and have to write everything on paper first, and I planned out a month's worth of content I want to share. You know, doing things right and all that. Y'all, there's always something getting in the way of my plans. Yes, I did just pull out my Southern roots, but I'm ready to get real with Mother Nature. And when I get real, the twang is strong. This flip-flopping weather, arctic to fall-like temps … [Read more...]

Sending Condolences to Connie

I didn't imagine my first post of the New Year would start off as a sad one, but it's with a heavy heart I report we lost a member of our Brainfoggles family recently. Our dear Connie's mother, Natalie Melucci, passed away on Dec 30, 2017. Although Connie doesn't post any longer, she is still a big part of Brainfoggles. If you take a moment to read through some of Connie's posts you will see many that include her mother and the love she had for her. If you would like to leave condolences, feel free to leave them in the comments on this post. Connie is a frequent visitor to Brainfoggles … [Read more...]
