As I get back into the swing of blogging regularly, I have decided to try to remedy some categories that have been lacking recently, such as travel. My plan is to feature a U.S. city at least once a month with reasons to visit, spots to see, etc. So, today, let’s get started with 10 Things that Make Lost Angeles Awesome!

Los Angeles is loved both by locals and international tourists alike. You can find some of the best Los Angeles luxury homes in the swankier parts of the city. And there are enough things to do here to keep any visitor busy for weeks on end. Here are 10 things that make LA awesome and that may inspire you to plan your next trip to the City of Angels.

10 things that make los angeles awesome

1# The Celebs:

We can’t talk about LA without mentioning the celebrities. The city is home to Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Universal Studios. One of the most popular activities is seeing your favorite celebrities on the Hollywood Walk of Fame or taking a selfie near the giant Hollywood Sign. And it’s not actually that uncommon to spot a famous someone in the city. Many of the celebs like to go shopping in the malls or take their dogs for a walk at Runyon Canyon Park. When you’re out and about in LA, it’s quite possible that you’ll bump into one.

2# The Theme Parks:

One of the biggest reasons tourists flock to LA is to enjoy the many theme parks. You can take the kids to Disneyland or the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and then have the time of your life at Waterworld. There are so many theme parks to choose from full of fun for the whole family. Don’t forget to check online for discounts or special promotions on the tickets before purchasing!

3# The Beaches:

Los Angeles has some beautiful stretches of sand along the Pacific Ocean. The famous ones include Malibu and Long Island Beach where thousands flock on a daily basis to relax and soak up sun rays. Several bars and restaurants line the beaches and you’re never far away from a delicious meal or a nice cold drink. If you’re looking for a quiet spot, drive a little further away from LA where you’ll find a few more secluded beaches.

4# The Laid Back Lifestyle:

Another part of Los Angeles that captures the interests of visitors is the laid-back lifestyle. Perhaps it’s the beaches and nice weather that make people so chilled out or maybe it’s just because they live in an awesome city. But the personality and outlook on life are infectious and people come away with a different point of view on life.

5# Awesome Food from Roaming Food Trucks:

Food trucks are, as the name suggests, trucks that drive around the city selling food. There are lots in LA and the type of food and cuisine that they sell range from burgers and Mexican food to Chinese noodles. If you ask any local, they’ll tell you that the food trucks have some of the best food in all of LA. Each truck drives to a different part of the city and you need to follow them on social media to see where they’re going to be. This is a great way to have a local experience in Los Angeles whilst having some of the best food the city has to offer. And the best thing is, the food is very affordable.

6# Amazing Entertainment:

When you’re next to Hollywood, you should already have some idea of what to expect in terms of entertainment. Los Angeles won’t let you down. You can find lots of amateur dramatics or comedy clubs around the city on almost a nightly basis. Admission is affordable too. There are also a lot of free outdoor events in the parks when the weather is warmer. You can relax on the grass whilst enjoying an outdoor concert that doesn’t suck all the money from your wallet.

7# Shopping is Top Notch:

People don’t always associate Los Angeles with good shopping in the United States. But, it’s true. Malls, boutiques, and several high-end brands line the streets selling the latest fashion. If the celebrities spend a lot of time in this city, then surely there must be a decent shopping scene to accommodate their needs, right?

8# It’s Easy to Find Great Deals on Food and Drink:

A number of restaurants, bars, and cafés in Los Angeles have regular Happy Hour prices that include both food and drink. This is a great way to eat out in one of the more expensive cities in the United States for a relatively low price. You can search online to find what places offer this discount.

9# LA is Full of Museums and Culture:

LA is the home to museums, theaters, and art galleries. You can find so many different things here to satisfy any desire to soak up a bit of the culture. If you want to visit the museums, check out the free admission days. Many of them have at least one day in the month where people don’t need to pay an entrance fee.

10# It’s Easy to Take a Day Trip:

If you want to get out and away from the city, take a day trip to the nearby mountains and national parks. Or, why not drive to a Spanish and Danish town that takes just over an hour and a half to reach. This is a great way to see and experience more of LA.

The Bottom Line:

Now that you can see for yourself that Los Angeles is an awesome city, why not start planning your trip today? You can enjoy the theme parks and shop until you drop whilst trying to spot a familiar celebrity face. Every trip to LA is special and is certain to be an unforgettable one.
