Busy Beauty Showerless Shave Gel Review

If you read my last post, you know how busy I have been lately. Some days I feel like it will be a miracle if I manage to get everything I have to do done. Other days I know showering will never get checked off my list. It’s refreshing to know that I’m not alone. In fact, 1 in 3 women may be so busy they skip a shower today. When you’re busy working hard to pay the bills and take care of your family, sometimes there just isn’t enough time in the day. Busy moms, especially of the under 5 crowd, know this all too well!

The good news is the founders of Busy Beauty, Jamie and Michael, know this, too. They have created a Showerless Shave Gel with busy women in mind without skimping on the skincare goodness.

Now, I have tried many showerless shave options throughout my 25 years of shaving (yes, I was so hairy my mother made me start shaving at 10). Most of the showerless products I have tried have been complete fails because I have really sensitive skin. There are the “burn your skin off taking the hair with it” creams, the ‘ole “lotion and a dry razor” technique that leaves me looking like I was bitten by 100 ants, and the list goes on.

So, my hopes weren’t really high for another Showerless Shave Gel. The one thing that made me decide to give this Shave Gel a chance? It is a 3-in-1 gel that is formulated to shave, moisturize, and hydrate in one go. Plus, the bottle says it works for sensitive skin.

The Short on Time Test

Last week I finally found time in my busy schedule to give the Busy Beauty Showerless Shave Gel a try. It was birthday party day for my 4 year old. We were already running late to our party location, but I had to take a quick shower that morning. When my 7 year old ran into the bathroom screaming her 4 year old sister was trying to destroy the birthday cake, shaving wasn’t going to happen. That’s no good when you’re about to throw a birthday pool party, where you have to play lifeguard, but you’re already running really late to your own party! My only option was to throw the bottle of Busy Beauty Showerless Shave Gel and a razor in my purse and head out the door.

With a 30 minute ride and my husband driving, it was now or never for shaving my legs. I broke out the Showerless Shave Gel and my razor, pumped out some of the pink gel, and slathered it on my leg. I immediately noticed how refreshingly minty it smells from a combination of Eucalyptus, Clove, Ginger, and Tea Tree essential oils. The fragrance is light and mild. Even my husband commented on how great my “lotion” smelled. He was definitely puzzled when I opened my dry razor and began shaving my legs! It only took a few minutes to shave my legs and rub the excess gel in as a moisturizer. My hands smelled wonderful, and there wasn’t a huge mess to clean up. Once we made it to my in-laws, it only took another 5 minutes in the bathroom to shave “everything else”.

And you know what? I was amazed at the results! I was completely shaved in all the right spots and moisturized. I didn’t have to touch water at all, and my skin felt so great! This shave gel truly produced one of the closest, smoothest shaves I’ve ever had!

The Pool Test

To really decide if I loved this shave gel, I needed to put it through the pool test. How would my skin feel after swimming for hours, and would I develop those nasty little razor burn bumps that tend to pop up on my sensitive skin when swimming immediately after shaving?

My sensitive skin? Not bothered one bit! I happily sat around the pool and swam for hours with hide nor hair of razor burn in sight. Yes, pun totally intended there! I’m thanking the soothing combination of Eucalyptus, Clove, Ginger, Oat, and Tea Tree essential oils for my lack of burn. My skin felt smooth and soft, and I was one happy lady.

This is one product that earned a spot in my bag after one use, and I honestly haven’t shaved in the shower in 2 weeks thanks to this blue and pink bottle of goodness. It’s so easy to toss the bottle in my bag before heading out. The TSA approved size means it’s easy to travel with the bottle just about anywhere, and you don’t have to worry about hunting down a bathroom when you need a last minute shave.

If you often find yourself pressed for time, have mobility issues, travel a lot, or just want to check out a great product, give Busy Beauty Showerless Shave Gel a try. I promise you won’t be disappointed! You can find a 2 pack of Busy Beauty Showerless Shave Gel on Amazon for $14.75. That’s a fantastic price for a product that works this week, and with a 2 pack you can keep one in your bag and one in the bathroom!
