5 Smartphone Apps to Help Save You Money

In today’s digital world, most people use their phones all the time to do almost anything. We have hundreds of apps to do anything from count calories to entertain us with virtual games. But, what if you could get an app that actually lets you save money when you’re shopping? The good news is that you can. Here are 5 money saving apps you can use with everyday shopping.

1# Monzo:

The app is linked to your bank card and notifies you how much you’re spending each week or month. This is a perfect tool to help cut back and stop impulse buying. I saved almost $100 over the course of the month after using Monzo. When I see how much I’ve spent so far this week, I suddenly don’t want to buy those cookies or after dinner ice cream! This is one of the best ways to help you budget your weekly shopping.

2# ATM Hunter:

If you, like me, love to travel, you’ll find yourself in unfamiliar surroundings quite often. Using your ATM overseas can be an expensive game. Fees can be very high if you withdraw from the wrong bank. This is where ATM Hunter comes in. It shows you where all of the ATM’s are and where the one you’re looking for is. You can quickly get your money and withdraw from the banks with the lowest fees.

3# Saivian:

The Android app, Saivian, is a membership based cashback service. The gist is you pay a monthly membership fee and select the stores that you shop at most often. You then scan your receipt and they give you 20% cashback. The membership fee is quite high at $120 each month, but you can cover the entire cost of the membership fee plus earn extra money one of two ways. If you spend more than $600 in a month you will make more than your membership fee and collect the extra earnings. Or, you can easily cover the membership fee through the referral program. When you refer 3 people the app starts paying you at least $5 each day, adding up to more than your monthly membership fee!

4# mySupermarket:

In today’s world, many of us just don’t have the time to go to the supermarket to do our weekly shopping. If you use a grocery delivery service, you may not always be getting the best available price. The app mySupermarket is here to make sure that you’re getting the lowest price possible for deliveries thus saving you money.

5# Voucher Cloud:

This app gives you the latest discount and coupon codes directly to your phone. There are lots of others that are similar to this, but Voucher Cloud gives it all to you in a succinct, and easy to read way. You can also use the function to track your savings over time.

If you’re trying to save money, give these 5 apps a try. It may be easier to save for that vacation or new car easier than you think!
