ScentFill Universal Plugin Refill Review & Giveaway

Thank you for providing products to facilitate this post and giveaway. All opinions are my own.

As excited as I am for a chance of snow this weekend, I have really enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather lately. As the weather and seasons begin to change, so do my scent preferences. I would love to open my windows and breathe in the fragrance of flowers blooming (already!), but the stench of my nemesis, the Bradford Pear, is already overtaking my wonderful floral perfume. My solution is to shut the windows and pop in a universal plugin refill until Ben chops that horrid tree to the ground.

Am I the only one who loathes buying refills for plugin warmers?

It seems like every time I want to pick up a new refill I have to purchase a new warmer, too, because the scent I want doesn’t match the type of plugin I have.  I have a drawer full of Glade and Airwick Plugin Warmers for that very reason, and it’s so costly! So, imagine how excited I was to find out about Scent Fill, a company that makes universal plugins that work with both Glade and Airwick plugin warmers, and you can get essential oils specially formulated for plugin warmers, too!

Be still my essential oil loving heart!

Okay, I admit it. I do use plugins that aren’t made of essential oils, but I prefer 100% essential oil or all natural versions when I find them. Scent Fill has both, no matter which version you prefer. Scent Fill carries familiar classics, all naturals, and essential oil blends, so I decided to give their universal plugins a try.

How Well Do Scent Fill Universal Oil Warmer Plugin Refills Work?

Scent-FreshLinen Scent Fill

Scent Fill Fresh Linen Universal Plugin

Currently, I have the Fresh Linen universal plugin refill going in my bathroom in an Airwick Plugin Warmer. The scent is the wonderfully crisp fresh laundry aroma I so admire combined with a hint of citrus from Bergamot, Orange Oil, Mandarin Oil, Lemon Oil and Caraway oil. The citrus definitely stands out more in this version than other Fresh Linen scents I have tried. It is very refreshing and not at all overpowering or strong. I want to live in my bathroom right now. The plugin refill works so well at masking stinky bathroom odors that I didn’t even realize my oldest neglected her litter box cleaning duties for a few days. That’s why the poor cat was meowing at my feet all morning! She was begging for her litter to be scooped!  I have found a new favorite version of my classic Fresh Linen friend, and I’ll have to pay closer attention to the litter box now that the smell of the bathroom isn’t reminding me my daughter forgot to scoop!

All Natural Essential Oil Universal Plugin Refills

When it comes to bedrooms, that’s where I’m more partial to essential oils. My children spend more time in their bedroom than the other rooms in the house, so I want something that I feel is safe for them. I like to use essential oil blends that are sanitizing or antibacterial when my girls are sick, and relaxing blends at night. I also don’t feel safe using one of my oil diffusers that heat oils in an open cup on top in the room where my 3 year old often plays.

The Sanitizing Blend universal plugin refill has been the perfect solution for me this week. As soon as my oldest was diagnosed with strep throat, I put the sanitizing blend in my Glade plugin warmer and placed it in the girls’ room. Within 30 minutes the scent of natural peppermint, jasmine, and moss oak permeated the air. The deodorizing combination smells wonderful, but it is mild enough to use in my children’s’ room without fear of an overpowering aroma.

Overall, I am very pleased with Scent Fill, and I will be purchasing again. I am already making a list of fragrances that are perfect to keep my home smelling fresh and Spring-like in the coming months.
