Blackberry Z10 Setup

As a Verizon Wireless Ambassador, I have been given the Blackberry Z10 to try out and write about. First I worked on the Blackberry Z10 setup. Since I am pretty technically challenged, I was concerned that this would be difficult. But an easy set of video demos online helped me get rolling.

By following the step by step directions on the video, it was surprisingly easy. I admit that I made one mistake along the way, but once I realized what it was, I was back on track.

Make sure you leave some time for your Blackberry Z10 setup because you may be required to run an update. Plug in your phone for this, but it was so quick because of the amazing speed of this smartphone it really wasn’t necessary.

Steps to Setup Your Blackberry Z10:

  1. Choose your language
  2. Setup your Wi-Fi connection
  3. Select your country
  4. Look over and agree to the Agreement Terms
  5. Sign in or create your Blackberry ID
  6. Decide if you want Blackberry to monitor your information
  7. Go through the video about Blackberry Gestures

Setup Your Personalization:

These can all be done in Settings and will make your Blackberry Z10 your own. This is not a complete list.

  1. Notifications – Do you want sound, vibrate or LED for notifications? What do you want to be notified about – Facebook, Texts, and other apps?
  2. Display – Choose a wallpaper and screen lockout time
  3. Keyboard – (This is one of my favorites) since the keyboard is intuitive, go through each choice carefully to make texting and typing simple.

I will be posting more about my experience with the Blackberry Z10 in the months to come.

Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Ambassador program and have been provided with a wireless device and three months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.
