Contessa World Cuisine Skillet Meals Review #Giveaway

This is a busy time of the year for us as I’m sure it is for many families.  That means as much as I would like to make a from scratch home cooked meal every night it doesn’t always happen.  I’m not a fan of opening a can of something to stick in the microwave, so I love finding skillet meals that are both simple to cook and quick.

This week my family got the opportunity to try Contessa World Cuisine’s skillet meals for two.  We are a family of 3, but with the little one being 3 years old most “for two” meals usually feed our entire family.

I liked the idea of the Contessa meals before I tried them because there are 18 world cuisine inspired flavors that can be prepared in 10 minutes at home.  The meals contain no msg, trans-fats, artificial colors or flavors, or preservatives.  There are many gluten-free options as well.

I found a variety of Contessa World Cuisine skillet meals at my local Walmart for $5 each although they do not carry all 18 varieties.

We started with the Sesame Chicken because it’s one of my husband’s favorite meals.

Preparation was very simple.  You can microwave the entire meal or cook in a skillet.  I chose to stir fry the chicken and veggies in the skillet then cooked the rice in the microwave for 2 minutes.  In 10 minutes we had a pretty healthy meal that was just enough to feed the three of us.

My husband loved the sesame chicken, and I love that even my picky 3 year old cleared her plate.  I also love that I fed us all in 10 minutes for $5 without having to hit a drive thru for cheap overly processed food.  I also purchased the Beef Mongolian, Chicken Stir-fry, and Shrimp Primavera.  Now I know I have a few quick options for skillet meals in my freezer whenever I’m running behind on getting dinner on the table!

You can find out more about Contessa and all 18 flavors via their Contessa World Cuisine’s website or Facebook page. If you would like to give Contessa’s World Cuisine skillet meals for two a try you can enter using Rafflecopter to win coupons.
