Now that I’ve had my Samsung Galaxy S3 for a little over three months, comes decision time. Do I switch from my iPhone to my Galaxy?
As a Verizon Wireless Ambassador, I was given the opportunity to try out the Galaxy and Verizon Wireless service. I also kept my iPhone and service with AT&T. That allowed me to really compare both phones and carriers.
Just a little background, the first smart phone I ever had was an iPhone. My husband has one also. And now that my daughter is 13, she has a Windows phone. All are covered by AT&T. I am used to my iPhone so much that I can use it with my eyes closed.
And I am not very good handling changes when it comes to technology. It takes me a long time to learn to use gadgets so the learning curve with the Samsung Galaxy S3 was a steep one.
Pros of Samsung Galaxy and Verizon Wireless
The camera and screen size are my favorite parts of the Galaxy. Coming up a second close is the S Voice. I have added a number of apps, which are helpful. Phone calls and texts were far and few between, but the sound quality of calls was just fine. The iPhone 3 camera doesn’t even have flash and screen size is smaller. With the Galaxy I have better reception at home and when out and about than with my iPhone.
Without a doubt, Verizon Wireless has much better customer service than AT&T. I have called them and connected with them online and both times, there was very little wait. My questions were answered professionally and with courtesy. AT&T always has long wait times and differing answers depending on who you speak with. I have also been hung up on a number of times.
What’s My Decision?
This has been on my mind since day one, and it all comes back to my learning curve. Because I find the iPhone easier to use based on my ability, I am going to upgrade to an IPhone 5. I will keep the
Samsung Galaxy S3 to use as my camera and for my social networking apps. And because of the customer service, it’s an easy decision to become a Verizon Wireless customer.
I’ll keep working on learning how to use the Galaxy S3 and who knows, that may be the phone that I can use with my eyes closed one day.
Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Ambassador program and have been provided with a wireless device and three months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.

I currently have the iPhone 4s and don’t see much of an improvement with the iPhone 5 upgrade. I might just hold on to this phone until the iPhone 6? Or maybe get a nexus phone made by Samsung because im not a huge fan of LG products.
It’s a tough decision when it comes to smart phones, isn’t it Samantha?
And you put iPhone 3 in the title.
