Energizer Family Safety Kit #Giveaway

On November 4th, Daylight Savings Time, it’s time to change your clocks and change your smoke alarm and carbon dioxide batteries. To bring awareness to this important safety issue, Brain Foggles is giving away an Energizer Family Safety Kit.

This is a very special Daylight Savings time. It’s the 25th anniversary of the annual Change Your Clock Change Your Battery® program.  Energizer Change Your Battery Save Your LifeEnergizer and the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) continue to band together with local fire stations to bring awareness to the need for working smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors for every residence.

Here’s a staggering fact from reports by the Fire Analysis and Research Division of the National Fire Protection Association

“Thirty-eight percent of fatal fire injuries occur in homes with no smoke alarms, while 24 percent occur in homes in which at least one smoke alarm is present but fails to operate, frequently due to dead or missing batteries.”

Energizer is Helping

Energizer is making a difference. This year they are donating 250,000 batteries to fire departments nationwide to distribute to local families in their areas. Energizer is also adopting 25 fire departments in 25 cities across the nation. These fire departments will receive batteries and Energizer family safety products to give to families in their areas.

My little girl is just crawling and learning to walk so we keep latches on most of the cabinets and have the socket plugs for the unused sockets. That’s just a small way to keep a part of my family safe.
