Designed to end messy cleanup and to avoid food contamination, FLOW the perforated cutting board by Simpleware is seeking backers on Kickstarter. It’s an innovative product that uses FDA approved and BPA free materials. Anyone with who cooks or grills can make use of FLOW.
FLOW was invented by Peter Hauser and Ola Ahlmen after Peter cut a steak and ended up with a juice covered counter. The proverbial light bulb went off as he knew there was a solution to this problem. When he mentioned his idea to Ola, they began to work on the best functional design.
They strived to help others save time on washing up and disinfecting the area to prevent food borne illnesses. The cutting board had to be large enough for use and easy to store. It was important that it be dishwasher safe and that it have a detachable tray to save the food juices for making gravies and sauces. Sturdiness was an issue as well so nonstick feet were added. And FLOW was created after sketching, making prototypes, testing, retesting and finally manufacturing.
Find FLOW by Simpleware on Kickstarter until October 14thwhere backers are needed from $1 on up. Backer pledges are broken down into categories that offer various rewards such as aprons, FLOW’s and a cooking class with Chef Ballingall. FLOW is available for pre-orders with an expected delivery date of December 2012.
