Do you shop online? I am going to share some of the best tips on how to save money for online shoppers. Read through them to see what works for you and share them so others can find sales, the best deals and even earn cash back on your purchases.
Research and Compare– Use Bing and other search sites to find what you are going to buy. Set up filters so that you can compare prices from lowest to highest and choose online sites. Some sites allow you to search for free shipping and to compare prices.
Discount Codes – It has become very easy to find coupon codes, promo codes and discount codes online. Just do a search for them with either the product you are buying or the site you are shopping from. Various sites and frugal blogs provide them.
Choose an Auction – After you find the lowest price for your item consider an auction site. Don’t overbid! Be sure to set a final price that is lower than the lowest price. Always read the fine print to see if there are shipping and other costs involved before bidding.
Sign up for Discount Alerts – These come in the form of websites and apps. You can choose a specific item or a broad category like digital cameras and get an alert when the price drops or when there is a sale.
Combine Sales and Coupon Codes – You can hit the jackpot when there’s a sale and you have a coupon code. Take advantage of this!
Earn Cash Back – Join sites that give you cash back when you shop. The best sites allow you to combine sale codes like Amazon promo codes as you shop.
Ask Around – Use social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, forums to ask about sales. You can tweet to a company or visit a brand’s Facebook site for discounts.
Sign up for Frequent Buyers’ Programs – Some online sites offer discounts in the form of credits or after you purchase a specific number of items. Only join those that are free. These are becoming more difficult to find because they are used by small businesses. If you are a loyal customer though, it is worth it.
