Those of you who know me well, know that I struggle with organization. I’ve tried calendars, reminders, files, notebooks but I’d just get more frazzled. With AboutOne I found a safe, easy way to stay organized online. My stress level and my family are thankful.
What Is AboutOne?
AboutOne is an online organizer and mobile app (for Android and Windows, with iPhone app coming soon) to keep track of your household and family events. It provides safe storage for all that paperwork that seems to be lost right when you need it. It allows you to take notes about gift ideas for family and friends when they mention something they like. Record school documents, including IEPs, teacher’s notes and tests. Save photos from the recent family trip. Get alerts about birthdays, appointments and when you need to change the oil in your car (coming soon).
How Does AboutOne Work?
AboutOne is in BETA but allows you to manage the details you need to run a smooth home and family life. When you register and sign in, you’ll be prompted to add the information you need: contacts and their information, products that you own along with the date of purchase and model numbers, health information, school records, etc. You can scan everything from recipes to pictures your child drew. Continue to add data and you’ll see suggestions about what else to add. AboutOne organizes all of this information so you can easily find it.
How Safe is AboutOne?
I don’t want anyone to see my private information, especially when it comes to health documents, financial records, etc. AboutOne takes the security of your stored data very seriously. In fact, they use the “same technologies and practices that banks and other financial institutions use to protect customer information.” Information is backed up every hour and your content is not sold or shared with any other companies.
What Do I Like about AboutOne?
AboutOne has made my life as a mother, record keeper and financial manager of my household much easier. When tax time comes, I won’t have to search for papers. When my daughter starts online school, I’ll know when her reports are due and of when she has tests. I won’t forget when to call for service on my appliances that have service contracts before the time is up. With all of the health problems and medications I take, I’ll remember when to renew a prescription or when to make a doctor’s appointment. In case of an emergency like a hurricane, I have the inventory of my home listed along with photos. Everything is one place, easy to locate and ordered. I feel like I’ve finally learned how to get organized. What a time and sanity saver.
I was compensated by AboutOne to review their online organizer. All opinions and text are my own.
