Check the calendar. Summer doesn’t end in the US until September 12th this year. Go ahead and make use of the time and go on a summer vacation. You went on a summer trip already? Take another one. Make the most of your end of summer escape with these tips:
Stay Local – Staying close to home cuts back on travel time and helps cut down your budget. You can choose to stay overnight in a hotel right in your neighborhood, or drive a few hours away to someplace special.
Use Travel Perks – Make use of your hotel points such as Hilton Honors that work for all 10 hotel brands including Embassy Suites, travel rewards from credit cards or online travel site programs to get free hotel stays, upgrades or discounts.
Re-Evaluate What a Vacation Means To You – If you think vacation time means going from the crack of dawn until midnight so you can see all of the sites, consider focusing more on one or two places instead. You’ll be able to delve more deeply into the history and culture. You’ll feel more relaxed. You’ll have more time to bond with your family. On the other hand, if a vacation means spending time unwinding at a beach, try some water sports. You may be surprised at the fun you’ll have and the laughter you’ll share with your family.
Chose a Hotel that adds Value to Your Stay – Find a hotel that offers freebies and make your stay extra-special. Freebies that are useful save you money – free cooked-to-order breakfast and evening snacks with beverages and drinks from the bar, and a refrigerator and microwave in your room. An indoor pool, fitness center, spacious rooms and suites and an inviting lobby area create an atmosphere that screams luxury at regular rates. My suggestion for this type of hotel is Embassy Suites.
My family and I went on our “big” summer vacation to Charlotte and Atlanta already, but we’re planning one more summer trip to the Orlando area. It’s going to be a short 2 day vacation and we are going to make the most of it.
We can’t wait to stay at Embassy Suites again. I stay up to date by following them on Twitter and Facebook.
What do you do to make the most of your end of summer trips?
Disclaimer: I wrote this post while participating in an Ambassador Program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Embassy Suites Hotels and received a one-night complimentary stay at an Embassy Suites Hotel to facilitate my future review and received a promotional item to thank me for participating. All opinions are my own as always.

I am currently in Germany and I can tell you that it is a fantastic place to visit. The buildings and architecture are completely different than in the US.
And there are castles all over the place. If you get the chance, you should visit this place.

It is very important to choose a luxury hotel that will give all the perfect accommodation we need. It is better to select the hotel that offers a great amenities.
All our vacations this summer are actually staycations.. We are planning our big vacation for November and will be going to Hawaii
.. The summer has revolved mostly on day trips that are easy on the pocket book but still fun for the kiddos. Plus, it’s been a great way for us to explore more of the state we live in!

I think an end of the summer trip would be fabulous. I have my four year anniversary with my boyfriend next week. So, it would be great to do something like this.

These are really great tips. It is easier to do stuff here in the fall because it isn’t as hot and humid. We are ready for Fall.
