I’ve dropped my phone before while getting out of my car. It fell on the concrete.
My mobile mishap actually is my case that my phone has to be in. I keep dropping my iPhone, seems I am always fumbling with my 2 yr old when it happens. I have now purchased 4 of the cases for my phone, broken every one of them, I have the 4th one currently on my phone, it’s broken but I can’t afford to replace it. Each case is 30.00.

A couple summers ago I was helping my dad get his boat out of the lake and I slipped and fell on the ramp sliding into the lake, my phone was in my pocket. =( Thankfully it still worked after that but it was the first and LAST time I took my phone near the lake.

I have washed mine twice now. Never happy when it happens. The first time I left it in my winter jacket and in it went. The second time it fell out of my jeans pocket, and into the pile of towels. Talk about bad luck!

Brand New cell phone with no insurance meant to stay on our counter and replace the landline, must have slipped off into the burn pile. We found the remnants outside.. 2 year contract replaced by an older phone. : (

I forgot that I was charging my phone using an outdoor outlet, before a rain shower. It rained and my phone absorbed water. It was fortunate that after three days of drying out, the phone returned to normal.
I dropped it getting out of my car.
My biggest mishap is I had my purse stolen with my cell phone in it – I got a call 3 days later that someone had found the phone on the side of the road. It still worked and they called the “home” preset

I’ve been lucky. My worst mishap was letting the battery go dead.
While I haven’t had any problems yet, my grandson has managed to drop his phone in the toilet followed a month later by taking it swimming in the ocean.
Trying to load up the baby in the car & leaving the cell phone on the roof! lol

Most of our problems have been with the phones be faulty. My oldest son did have his stolen once right out of his suitcase at an overnight school event.

i just constantly drop my phone. how it still works, i have no idea.
So I had my phone in my capri pocket. Not my purse, which I had chosen not to carry around, we were sightseeing in Duluth, MN. Went to the restroom. I will NEVER understand HOW- but as I got up, and was pulling up my pants and twisting around to flush.. the phone went INTO the toilet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG is all I could think! It was BEFORE I hit flush…. and I really hesitated before, yes, reaching in and rescuing the phone. Yes, I did.
I had heard that such a mishap did not mean the death of a cell phone. So- you can be sure I washed and washed my hands and I sure rinsed off that phone in the sink.
I opened the phone up and let it dry out several days and YES it worked again.
I never admitted to anyone or told anyone about the incident, cause I felt so awful about it. Eeeeeeeeew

I was camping with family when suddenly, I got thrown into a lake! Once I got out and pulled my sopping wet phone out of my pocket, the person who threw me in started apologizing over and over. Saying that they will pay for a new one and going on and on. I let it go on for about 5 minutes and finally took pity on them. I had full cell phone coverage and could get a new one once we got back for free. That wasn’t even the first phone I had had to replace!

I used to have a blackberry curve. I didn’t know that if you have a password on it and someone gets your password wrong 10 times, it wipes your entire memory. My daughters friend was playing with my phone and I thought nothing of it…until it said memory wiping, after 10 tries. I lost everything :/
