Pinterest For Dummies Review and #Giveaway

As a latecomer to Pinterest, I needed all the information about this addicting site that I could get. When I was asked to review Pinterest For Dummies by Kelby Carr, I knew this would be just what I needed. Easy to read because of the For Dummies format, but full of useful facts, this book is helpful for both the newbie and power pinner.

Kelby Carr writes so others can grasp knowledge easily. Within the pages of Pinterest for Dummies, she features the basics of how to join Pinterest, how to create boards and pins to the more detailed information on proper credit for pinned images and videos.

You’ll learn how to socialize on Pinterest, how to balance self-promotion and promoting others and creative uses for Pinterest such as travel planning. The parts of the book I will refer to again and again are the Pinterest plugins, the mobile use of Pinterest and site etiquette.

  10. I love Pinterest. The only thing that confuses me is why there is a Like button. I’ve used it but still don’t really get it. If it created a hidden board maybe that would make sense but people can still see your likes so I’m not sure what the point is.
