Brain Foggles is Back!

Thanks to Astacia Carter at Expand Social Media, Brain Foggles is back online! After a server update almost 2 weeks ago, my blog began to do a disappearing act. One minute it was fine, the next you’d get a 500 error. I could intermittently log in and then not be able to. And my last post was October 30th.

I know that doesn’t seem like a long time, but to someone addicted to blogging, and someone with a scheduled workload, it was quite stressful. Brain Foggles is like my baby, one that I get to cuddle with every day and no other distraction was going to take her place.  I tried my best not to email Astacia because I knew she was working on the issue, but my impatience would get the best of me. Poor Astacia would get either a frantic email or a sugary sweet one to make up for the one that made me sound like a wild woman.

It’s best to let things work their course, especially when you have a reliable tech support person working her butt off, but label me “on the verge of hysteria” and tech me coping skills.

Promise, I’ll do better next time if this ever happens again. I’m fortunate enough to have 2 other blogs to write on. Guest blogging is also a good way to keep my need for writing going. And instead of staying offline, I’ll be more active on Twitter and Facebook. (Hear that Klout?)

I’ll be celebrating today by bombarding you with blog posts right here on Brain Foggles, So be warned!

What have you done when you couldn’t write on your own blog because of technical or other reasons?

  1. I know how you feel. I usually have a breakdown when my blog doesn’t work, then I calm down try to see if it’s something I can fix or not. If not I contact my hosting or someone to help me. Glad to see you back up and running!

  2. Thank you for your patience and understanding. It was a frustration-filled week!

  3. Plus you have silly readers emailing or tweeting at ya telling ya it is down and in my case even telling ya what time I visited 😛
    Glad youre back!

  4. If my computer or server is down, I resort back to pen and paper. I used to write all of my blog posts on paper before putting them on the computer. There’s just something about sitting in a comfy chair with a fat notebook and a cool pen. However, when my technical issue is fixed I then have to transfer everything but it’s all good. lol

I’m so glad you’re back up and running again.
