Tully’s Coffee is known for its slow roasting and delicious coffee taste. Tully’s should also be known for giving back to the community in the Seattle area. Working with the Pomegranate Center, Tully’s has helped revitalize public gathering spaces. And their Taste of Community contest, (with information on Tully’s Facebook page) seeks to find one area in the United States to provide a grant valued at up to $100,000 in services and equipment from Pomegranate Center, funded by Tully’s. This contest ends today and will create another public gathering center.
Any company that puts money into building up communities for the people living there and to help foster economic growth is doing something right. As part of the Green Mountain Coffee Roaster’s, Inc. Tully’s believes in corporate social responsibility. They donate coffee to nonprofits, match employee giving and provide paid time for employees to volunteer.
Now on to the coffee! Tully’s provided a bag of Tully’s House Blend and a bag of the limited edition Community Spaces Blend. My husband, Shawn is the coffee drinker in the house so he was the one to taste and report back to me. Shawn is a big coffee drinker and only gets brand name coffees, not specialty coffees (except on special occasions). He thought both coffees were smooth without any bitter or acidic taste. He had a couple of cups in the morning and the minute he came home from work, he got out the coffee grinder, decided which coffee to drink and got his coffee ready for the next day. Although I don’t drink coffee, the aroma from the Tully’s Coffee had me wishing I did.

Dark French roast, Kona, Kenya, and I will try many others.
Right now i like 8 o’clock. Starbucks is too burnt tasting. And Maxwell House gets bitter too quickly. I prefer a low oil coffee. And my does freshness count I was able to get fresh roast right out of the roaster…..OMGosh….it was so incredibly better then the same brand at the store or even from their website.
