Relief Run

Last year, actor, Josh Duhamel (“When in Rome,” “Transformers”), held a Relief Run and raised over $100,000 for the victims of Haiti. This year, he’s hoping to do even more.

From Josh

If you’re like me, you’ve seen the pain and suffering going on in Japan right now and really feel the need to help… to physically help. Well, I think we can. Join me for a 2 mile run on the beach in Santa Monica.

THIS IS A MOVEMENT SHOWING THE WORLD THAT THE PEOPLE OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ARE HERE TO HELP PHYSICALLY EVEN IF WE CANNOT BE THERE IN PERSON.

Details About the Run

Runners are asked to pay a minimum entrance fee of $10 and  meet at Dorothy Green Park between parking lots #4 & #5 where Ocean Park Blvd. meets the beach at 2600 Barnard Way. Registration is at 10:00 AM. The run starts at 11:00 AM. We ask everyone to download the run registration form online, fill it out and bring it with them to the run to expedite registration!

Participants will run on the beach, north to the Santa Monica Pier where they will turn around and head back to the starting point at the 2600 Barnard Way beach lot.

If you plan to participate in this event, please make sure to RSVP that “I’m attending” on the Relief Run Facebook Event so the number of people attending is known in advance.
