Xigo Health and MomSelect Event in St. Pete Florida

I was counting down the days to the Xigo Health and MomSelect Event. And yesterday was the day! I knew I had to drive to St. Pete from Spring Hill, about an hour and half drive so I was happy to have a friend with me.

I was up extra early to get myself ready. I had a few chores to get done and then I was off to pick up my friend and fellow blogger Joan from Joan’s Reviews And Giveaways then off for the drive to St. Pete. I got a few blocks away and realized that I left my iPhone at home. So back to the house. Ah brain fog! Then I got lost trying to find Joan’s house. So my expectations of getting to the event early were doomed from the start.

We did arrive late, but as soon as I was seated and began listening to the presentation from Buddy Ojeda, educator at Xigo Health, I felt just fine. I did miss the beginning of his talk, but I was able to catch on right away. He informed us about ways to build up our immune system by reducing stress, getting enough sleep and eating well. He gave us a lot of suggestions about immune boosting foods (antioxidants) including foods rich in Beta Carotene, Vitamin C, Zinc and more.

Then he went on to describe what Xingo (pronounced chee-g0) Health does. He mentioned the Xingo Difference – Detects, Defends and Deters. It detects challenges to your health, defends against them and deters repeat defenders. Xingo helps your body do what it should do naturally, but helps your immune system become stronger and more ready to fight off challenges.

There are three products on sale in health food stores around the country:

  • Maximum Immune Defense – this is what you take when you feel a cold coming on, or if you’re going to face immune challenges such as when you travel
  • Daily Immune Defense – for adults to take every day to keep your immune system strong
  • Daily Immune Defense for Children – for children over the age of 4

You can learn more about Xigo Health from their website and from Ellen Schutt, the Chief Mom Officer’s blog.

After the presentation, Buddy took questions from the audience. It was very interactive which made the presentation even more interesting. Then Ellen did a raffle giving away each of the products and a Xigo backpack, which everyone wanted! We took some time to chat and snack on a fruit tray and each of us left with goody bags.

Joan, Me and Amy

I learned a great deal about Xigo Health and about healthy eating plus I was so pleased to finally meet Amy Sobel from MomSelect in person! Ellen and Buddy mentioned that they’ll be having another event much closer to me in the near future. If you’d like to stay in touch with what’s happening with Xigo Health, be sure to like their Facebook page. You’ll even get to see a photo of Ellen with that famous backpack.

Awesome, Connie! So glad you got to go! Wish I could have attended but it was just too far from OK. I interviewed Ellen, the Chief Mom Officer from Xigo on the Ask MomRN Show in December. She was a delightful and informative guest. They let me try out a bottle of Xigo and I truly think it helped me stay healthy the month I took it. Tasted good too!

    Connie,

Thanks for the post; it was great to meet you and Joan and I’m so glad you enjoyed the event. Buddy really knows his stuff so I always feel confident that all of our audience is going to learn something new. Thanks again for attending, especially since you had such a long drive!

Connie, thanks again! It was a pleasure to meet you and Joan. We both had long drives that day- but at least we were driving to a great time! Can’t wait to see you at the next event.
