Kaspersky PURE Review and Giveway

Kaspersky PUREKasperskey PURE Total Internet Security is a complete protection product for your computer. It includes management multiple computers in your home all at the price of one download or purchase. Available to the public on January 24th, I have had the opportunity to use it and will share my review with you. Plus I have a giveaway for a year of Kaspersky PURE for one of my readers.

Features of Kaspersky PURE

  • Runs scans on any PC in your household to make sure they’re secure
  • Automatic file backup and restore functions
  • An integrated Password Manager to protect your identity
  • Data Encryption and File Shredder to make sure your private information stays private
  • Performs file backups remotely, to protect your data no matter what machine it sits on
  • Fixes security issues before they become problems
  • Administers parental controls so kids are never outside of your protection, even when they’re out of view
  • Provides controls over when and for how long your children can be online, or on the computer at all
  • Limits access to the Internet, web content, applications, games, or social networks
  • The ability to keep important information from being shared
  • A communication-safety hub – the main computer

Ease of Installation

It was easy to install Kaspersky PURE. I had to uninstall another security product. Once that was done, which was quite simple, the wizard for Kasperky allowed me to follow along with the directions to not only install but to assure that I had the exact features I wanted included. This customization was one of my favorite parts.

Parental Control

As the mother of a tween, this is number one on my list. Yes, I want my computers safe from viruses. Having the ability to completely block websites, games, forums etc. from my daughter’s computer as well as mine gives me peace of mind. I can also time how long she spends online and even shut down her computer. I am in control with Kaspersky PURE!

Backup and Restore

I was able to schedule automatic backups to an FTP location. I chose to save 3 versions of files which will then be copied over and restored. In case my hard drive crashes or my laptop is stolen, I can restore my backup data to any PC.

Made by Kaspersky Lab, one of the leaders in internet security, Kaspersky PURE sells for $89.95 for a 1-year license which can be installed on up to 3 computers.

    I like the fact when I tried the trial version it actually picked up a virus that two other virus programs could not. By far one of the best virus programs.

    One of my favorite features of Kapersky PURE would have to be the password manager – I’m terrible about forgetting my passwords and not changing them nearly as often as I should, so it would be a definite plus to have an internet security program help keep me straight!
