Even though we’re doing a low value Christmas this year, I’m still dreaming on an HDTV. Call it envy, or call it keeping up with the Joneses, I’d love to have one HDTV in my house. It’s not only because of the quality of the television shows we can watch but it’s because of all the extras we can get with an HDTV.
I know that I’ll need HDMI cables to make our HDTV experience even better. High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) cables provides an interface between any audio/video source such as:
- Set Top Boxes
- DVD Players
- High Definition DVD Players
- Blu-ray Disc Players
- Camcorders
- Personal Computers
- Video Game Consoles
- Computer Monitors
- Digital TV’s
All this on just one cable! No need to have multiple cables and a mess. HDMI cables are supported by major brands of electronics and movie producers as well. Some people want to use a cable just for their favorite gaming system. For the Playstation 3, check out PS3HDMIcable.com to get both audio and video clarity on your HDTV.
A Toslink digital audio cable is used to connect DVD players, home theater systems and specific gaming systems to your TV. These are not needed for HDTV’s so in the mean time, I guess we’ll have to make due.
So until we can afford a new HDTV or feel that putting money into one is important, right now we”ll focus on having a family oriented Christmas and using money on the things that are important to us.

I am Dreaming for 3D TVs. Either of Samsung or LGs which are heavily marketing in newspaper and TV ads.
