I’ve been using Duncan Hines to bake cakes and brownies for years but their new Decadent Cakes and Amazing Glazes are absolutely delicious. When I baked it, the house was filled with those yummy smells that kept my daughter and husband asking about when it would be done.
The Triple Chocolate Decadent Cake Mix includes two pouches. One is the regular cake mix and one is the the real chocolate chunks and rich fudge. It’s easy to make. Just mix each pouch separately with the extra ingredients called for. Add the cake mix into a greased and floured pan, then scoop the mix with chocolate chunks and fudge on top of the cake mix. Swirl with a knife or spatula and bake. No need to use a mixer, just stir by hand. Less to clean up!
Will make 12 servings and contains zero trans fats and no hydrogenated oils. You won’t believe it by the taste. The extra ingredients (chocolate chunks and fudge) create extra delicious, gooey, yummy bites. They are available in cake baking section of supermarkets nationwide in 20 oz size boxes at a SRP of $2.99.
Don’t forget about Duncan Hines Amazing Glaze! Before using, you microwave the glaze, shake and pour. If you don’t use it all, you can refrigerate and re-use. I wouldn’t call this icing, it really is a glaze as it shines. I decided to use the Vanilla Glaze and the combination of all that chocolate from the cake was unreal! I was so happy to serve a piece to my daughter who hasn’t been feeling well recently. Since Mom “made” it, it was extra-special to her.
The Decadent Cakes come in three flavors – Classic Carrot, Apple Caramel and the Triple Chocolate that I baked. The Amazing Glazes come in both chocolate and vanilla flavors. Duncan Hines is offering a $1 coupon for the Glazes. These glazes are available in a 10 ounce squeeze bottle at an SRP of $2.49.
