I’ve been sick with a sinus infection that has been going on for over a month now on and off. This time around, I was so sick that the doctor considered putting me in the hospital. I could hardly walk, was coughing non-stop and my head hurt so much that I had wanted to keep my eyes closed and stay in a dark room.
On top of all that, I was getting muscle spasms from coughing. One was so bad that the doctor could actually see it. Because of the diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis, there are many medications that I can’t take, including antibiotics and cough medicines. So it’s been hard for the doctor to come up with a real treatment plan that would work for me.
This time around, my doctor had to do something. So I got an injection of an antibiotic, one that I may have had a reaction to. I had to stay in the office for 20 minutes after to see if I was OK. Thankfully, I was. I was also given a prescription for another antibiotic and was told that if I felt worse, to go to the ER. If I had trouble breathing, to call 911.
Thankfully, I tolerated the medicine, the soup, the rest and the loving care from my family. I keep a box of tissues at hand at all times. I’m still not doing well but am much better than I was since Thursday. I hope to be catching up on my blog, Twitter and Facebook soon.
I miss you all.

Feel better soon and take care of yourself!
