Healthy Choice Steaming Entrees Review

Healthy Choice has eight new Steaming Entrees. I had the chance to taste two of them through a blog tour and want to share my review with you. Steaming Entrees are sized for lunch and packaged so that you pop them in the microwave and let them steam to perfection.

Preparation

No need for extra steps of poking holes, stirring and replacing in the microwave. Instead, just place in the microwave, remove and let stand.  Steaming keeps the flavor intact and the veggies a bit crispy, just the way I like them. You do need to test with a food thermometer for the correct temperature, which was a bit annoying to me. For people taking these to work, this can be a hindrance also. But the taste may change their minds!

  • Honey Balsamic Chicken with chicken tenderloins, red potatoes, asparagus, cherry tomatoes and a honey and balsamic vinegar glaze
  • Chicken Romano Fresco with chicken tenderloins, whole-grain pasta, broccoli, red peppers, Romano cheese and a butter glaze

Review

My favorite was the Honey Balsamic Chicken. The combination of the vegetables, chicken and sauce were delicious. Asparagus is one of my favorite veggies and to have it paired with chicken made the meal even tastier. Anything with potatoes is a winner with me also. At about $2.50 per meal, these make a good price mark for a lunch. ‘

  1. It was great meeting and hanging out with you at Type-A Mom! I do some work for Healthy Choice, but I’m also a big fan of these meals (which I pay for myself, FWIW) when I’m looking for a quick, healthy lunch.
