I’m a night owl and so is my daughter Sammi. She is going to be starting middle school this year, out of our school zone, about 15 miles away. I’ll have to wake up, get dressed, eat breakfast with her and drive her. Instead of rushing around in my pj’s after I was finally able to wake up her up after the 8th time, helping her get her school stuff ready, while I signed homework, got her lunch packed and got her off to school these past 6 years of elementary school.
Now I’m going to actually have a morning routine. A routine that works and lessens stress for both of us. That’s where Eggo Real Fruit Pizza comes in. In the microwave one of these delicious fruit pizza only takes 1.5 minutes. And when you mix the words “fruit” and “pizza” together, I actually get a normally picky eater to smile. Here’s some of the rules I’m going to use for our morning routine:
1. Same bedtime and wake up time every day for both of us. It helps your body to get into a sleep routine when it knows what to expect. When someone has insomnia, they are often taught “sleep hygiene” which includes this bedtime and wake up time routine.
2. Both of us will have alarm clocks. My daughter needs to learn to wake up on her own since she’s getting older. And I admit that I need a backup for my alarm clock. I’ve been known to do things like shut off the alarm instead of hitting the snooze button or sleeping through the alarm all together.
3. Eat a healthy breakfast. This helps keep you awake and alert during the day. Eggo Real Fruit Pizzas are healthy. They are made with real fruit and granola.
4. Prepare everything the night before. No more signing homework or finding out that I need to write a check for a school event in the morning. My daughter’s back pack will be closed up with all items completed before bedtime. I’ll have her lunch ready in the fridge the night before and the breakfast table set. We’ll both have our clothes ready the night before also.
5. Rewards for getting the routine down pat. As we both work toward this new event in our lives, Sammi starting middle school and gaining more independence, and my making our mornings more peaceful, we can celebrate our successes. One reward I won’t be using is staying up late or sleeping in! One reward I can use is a choice of Mixed Berry or Strawberry Eggo Real Fruit Pizza.
I guess you can tell that we really enjoyed the yummy goodness of both of the Eggo Real Fruit Pizzas. We love Eggo Waffles and were expecting fruit on a waffle, but this is even better. The granola is toasted so it has a bit of a crunch to it and because the fruit is real, it has a delicious sweetness to it. And you can have the chance to win some of your own to try out.

A quick workout in the morning gets everything started off right. A morning jog gives me the energy I need to make it to lunch.
Backpacks are packed up the night before, lunches organized, jackets located, etc.
I make my morning routine run smoothly by waking up at least 1/2 hour before the rest of my family and that way I am not rushed.

I can make my morning routine run smoothly by preparing ahead of time for the morning rush, so I don’t make impulse purchases going to a driv through on my way to work.
I’m always sure to have the kids pick out their clothes the night before and they are laid out to jump into as soon as their head is up from their pillow. This keeps the morning going smoothly.

To simplify my morning routine, I prepare things the night before. I iron and lay out clothes and pack lunches. It makes things go so much more smoothly if I put a little thought into things ahead of time.
Best thing I do in the mornings is get myself up & ready before I go wake up the kids. That way, I can help them get ready too and not all of us at the same time.

We make the morning routine smooth by having the bowl, spoon and cereal out the night before, and lunch already packed the night before as well.

My daughter is not in school yet (and no daycare) so mornings are pretty laid back right now. One way I help it run smoother is by greeting her in a happy and cheerful way every morning…this puts her in a good mood right off the start. It’s hard to be grumpy when Mom is so happy

It also helps if I get up first to get some of my morning stuff done, then I am more awake & ready to go!
