Consumer Queen – Melissa Garcia – is still in need. Melissa’s home was damaged in a flood on June 14th. She and her family lost everything. Since they don’t live in a flood zone, they did not have flood insurance, so there’s no coverage. She is getting a lot of help from fellow bloggers, her church and her local community, but imagine having to buy everything you owned again, all at once?
Consumer Queen is the type of person who helps others. I met her for just a minute at the Disney Social Media Moms Conference, but I’ve been reading her blog for a long time. I’ve seen her donate her food, volunteer and help other bloggers with questions. Now it’s her turn for help. Thanks to her friend Monica Brady at Mommy Brain Reports, she began spreading the word with her post, Helping Out A Friend In Need.
