Today Was The Hebrew National Picnic!

Today was the day! The Hebrew National Better-Than-A-Picnic Picnic was held today in the Tampa, Florida area. We collected donations for Save Our Seabirds and the National Wildlife Foundation, set up a craft table for the children to make pine cone bird feeders and Thank You cards for the volunteers who are helping to clean up the oil spill and save the animals.

The food was wonderful, Hebrew National Hot Dogs, fruit and drinks. The weather was perfect and the kids had so much to do like playing with super soakers, making puzzles, dancing and hanging out with Elmo, the most awaited guest of the picnic!

We were mentioned on TBO.Online in advance of the picnic thanks to Caroline Jorgensen of The Morningside Mom. WFLZ radio station, 99.3 attended, provided music and announced information about the picnic too. Thanks so much!

I’ll post more information and photos later, but just wanted to get a short post up about how a group of people can get together and make a difference and the Hebrew National picnic proved that today.

Disclosure: As a co-host of the Hebrew National Better-Than-A-Picnic Picnic and working with TheMotherhood.com, I was provided a stipend for my time.
