I do not have children but I was the “parent” at a child and parent class with my then 2-3 yr old nephew (he is now 4). For the child’s birthday goodies were brought in by the parent. My sister has three boys all under the age of 5 and well she doesn’t really have time to bake or cook. I made cupcakes and I also made cracker toffee.

I have had to go get poster board at the last minute more times than I can count! The problem is that everyone else is out there looking for them too! We have had poster board shortages in my neighborhood on several occasions. I finally wised up and bought several, so that I would have a couple on hand for the next emergency.

I’m not a mom, but I do teach Sunday School, and the first year I began, I was disappointed to find out that there were no year end activity for the students to enjoy. So I organized a last minute pizza party for all the classes that wished to participate and decorated the gym, I even got a local pizza shop to donate pizza, soft drinks and treats for the party and a local florist gave us flowers to decorate the gym. It was fun! Hectic, but fun!
