Disney World Trip And Family Reunion

I just returned home from our most recent Walt Disney World trip where we had a family reunion. My daughter Alicia and her husband, Scott, flew in from Kansas on Mother’s Day. We spent that day and the next two together. On Wednesday they had to leave to help prepare and attend a friend’s wedding in Orlando.

So in order to spend as much time as possible with them, my husband, other daughter, Sammi and my Mom drove over to Disney World for a long weekend. We stayed at Disney’s Caribbean Resort from late Friday afternoon until this morning.  We went to EPCOT on Saturday for a short time.  Shawn, Alicia, Scott and Sammi went to Universal on Sunday, while my Mom and I visited Downtown Disney for lunch. Then we all went to dinner at Kona Cafe in the Polynesian Hotel.

This trip was more about being together than about park hopping and more about talking and laughing instead of seeing the sites. It was relaxing and perfectly suited to allow us time to hang out, eat some good food and make memories to tide us over until our next time together.

Thanks to Destinations in Florida who helped me make one of the best Disney World Vacations trips ever. Of course I love Disney World, but having a Family Reunion there makes it even more magical.
