McDonald’s Twitter Prescence

McDonald’s has a new presence on Twitter. It’s not that they’re new to Social Media, but it’s their way of connecting with people, especially happy and unhappy customers. The McDonald’s Twitter Team listens (searches) for mentions of the Mickey D’s name and follows up quickly.

I mentioned on Twitter that I love McDonald’s and soon had one of the team following me and thanking me for my tweet. A couple of tweets later, I was asked to send a DM because I won a meal pass. Awesome!

I’ve heard the McDonald’s Twitter Team handle complaints and be grateful for compliments. All done in a professional and friendly manner. I’m so pleased with them that I made a public list of them. I’m hoping that McDonald’s maintains their Twitter presence, their contests and truly listen to customers.

    This is a good example of how company should use social media. It’s a very smart move for MD to get closer with their customer through twitter. I wish my school has a twitter account. It’s easier to get updated through it than going to the bulletin board.
