My Hopes For BlogHer

I’m excited to be attending BlogHer this year for the first time and have hopes to learn, network and better my blog. I expect to spend some time partying, but my main purpose for going to BlogHer is blog outreach. That is where I connect with other bloggers in order to reach my audience. I’m in the process of doing this, but I want make this work better for me and my blogging buddies. This is a win/win situation for us.

I’m looking forward to taking part in social media events, which will go above and beyond the normal social media workshop. I plan on using Twitter, Whrrl and taking photos to share what I’m learning and who I’m connecting with. I’ve looked through the agenda, including the classes which are broken down into Change Agents, Passions, Personal, Professional, Geek Lab, Writing Lab and Job Lab.

My decisions for classes are going to be based on what is going to provide me with the best social media training as well as teaching me the best strategies to maintain and better my blogger outreach. I’m leaning toward the Job Lab and Writing Lab.

If I can connect with a Social Media Consultant at BlogHer, one that I trust and can offer something in return, my hopes for BlogHer will be reached.
