So Sad Too Bad No IzeaFest This Year

I’m so sad. I’m mourning the loss of IzeaFest ( the cancellation or the non-scheduling of this event) for this year. I had the time of my life last year and was looking forward to this event again in 2010. There’s been buzz about it, when will it be held? Where? But I had a sinking feeling that this was going to happen.

There’s been a lot less work available in Social Spark, owned by Izea. The main site of Izea, Pay Per Post was revamped and has just low paying opps. The forum is closing down tomorrow. I hope that this is due to the recession because Izea is my all time favorite sponsored post sites. It’s the first place I began working with my blog and I hope to continue to work with them for many more years.

I’ll miss IzeaFest this year. It’s one of the most entertaining blogging conferences I’ve attended. There’s such a mixture of fun and learning. The speakers and the learning track is perfect for bloggers. Here’s to IzeaFest in 2011! I’ll definitely be there. In the mean time, I’ll be practicing for IzeaHunt while waiting. Let me get the ice cream, chocolate syrup and whipped cream. Maybe I can make it as the best ice cream sundae in 2011.

Yeah, IzeaFest was that fun.

So sorry you’re so sad! Bums me out.

I can assure you we’re not going anywhere! Just having to make some business decisions, one of which is closing the IZEA Message Boards. It didn’t make any sense to keep them open when we were paying for them AND most of our customer support goes through Get Satisfaction (which is FREE)!

We’re here to stay, so don’t fret!

Bummer…I was wondering since I hadn’t heard anything yet. I had a lot of fun last year…it was my 1st blog conference. It was great to get to meet you too!

I had so much fun at the 2009 Izeafest that I have had ants in my pants waiting for Izeafest 2010. To be able to meet my friends face to face was great and Izeafest is the ONLY conference I have ever attended where I LOST WEIGHT!!! It was so active I actually came home 5 pounds lighter. Can you imagine that?? Maybe I should attend an Izeafest once a month. No, make that once a week and soon I’d be down to bones only. Until 2011….

    LOL @mardeck – that’s a great benefit! I had to sleep for a week to recover ;)

I’m heartbroken too Connie – you know I’ve been eagerly anticipating the date/location announcement.

There’s no reason why we can’t take the party to IZEA and Orlando though – and do some informal networking – it’s a GREAT place to holiday and I’m ready for another visit!

I’m disappointed to, but I had my suspicions. I do the majority of my paid blogging through IZEA and the opportunities have been drastically reduced lately, and those that are available are being taken by some questionable bloggers (Take a look at the “who took this opp” section. It can prove to be very educational.)

I can’t believe it! No IZEAfest this year. Boo Hoo! You were really cute imitating a hot fudge sundae Connie…. and by the way… where is my IZEAfest shirt that you “borrowed” so you could enjoy the rest of the evening without sticking to everything. LOL

Wha-Wha-Wha (sad trombone) about no IzeaFest 2010.
I’ve never attended but the pictures look over-the-top.
    Maybe next year….
