Disney Social Media Moms Celebration Is Amazing

The Disney Social Media Moms Celebration is amazing! I’ve only been here since about 1 PM but there’s surprises every where I turn. First we checked into the Polynesian to get our paperwork and also got a gift bag plus a fast pass that lets you get on the attractions with fast pass right away, a Disney gift card, free wifi at the hotel and lots of goodies.  Before we even got to the Hospitality Suite to get our swag, we met Jennifer @Jentifa from The Dirty Shirt and her lovely family. What a treat! On the way out, we saw Jerri Ann Reason @The_Jerri_Ann from Mom-E-Centric and her family. Can’t wait to have time to talk with them more later on this week.

Then we went to our hotel, Animal Kingdom Lodge to check into our room and got in right away – no wait! After unpacking, we left for ESPN Wide World of Sports, had some time playing around. I went into the Milk Room to hear about what’s new for Disney World and Disney Cruise Line. Of course, there’s some exciting things in store.

Off to dinner with my family, where I met Valerie Gray @valmg from Mom Know’s It All. It was so crowded that it was hard to find a table, so we separated, but kept bumping into each other. Dinner was nice with hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, nachos, sausages, Philly Steak and Cheese, popcorn, bags of peanuts and the famous Mickey Mouse ice cream bars.

After eating we made our way down to the first floor where the DJ was. Sammi got up and danced and had a ball. I finally got to meet Lori Falcon @acowboyswife from A Cowboys Wife. We hugged and hugged! I got to meet her very polite sons. Then I dragged Sammi from dancing to introduce her and Shawn to Lori and her family. We chatted a bit, but everyone was exhausted. The place was emptying out early. I have an early morning tomorrow so I’m off to bed now.

I promise to post photos soon. Here’s some of my story from Whrrl:

Although tickets for the conference were purchased, I and my family received meals, park tickets, etc. at a great discount. We also received gifts, opportunities to attend events not open to the general public and to take part in contests to win prizes all from the Disney Company. I was not asked to write about my experience or share the information.

  10. Hey Connie!

This sounds like quite an adventure. I see that you’ve written up much more detail, but I wanted to start here at the beginning first. I’ll enjoy reading the later posts in a bit.

Sorry for being tardy on my comments, but I had to take out some time for my annual “tax marathon” and another big project.

I’ll be getting caught up on my commenting soon.
