Did you hear about the I Don’t Want To Miss contest held last year? It was so popular that it’s being held again this year and the grand prize is that Danny Gokey, former American Idol finalist, will lead a music class for the winning school. For the first 10o videos entered, the teachers will win a care package from Clorox.

The contest is based on what students miss when they have to stay home because they are sick with the flu. My daughter doesn’t like missing school when she’s sick. There’s so much to miss, not only school work, but what’s happening with her friends, the latest gossip and recess. Let’s face it, kids will say that they don’t want to go to school, but when they are out sick, they really do miss it. You can learn about flu prevention by visiting Clorox’s Facebook page.

• Download the song I Don’t Want To Miss…
• Get your music class, group or glee club to learn the song and create a video
• Include a video introduction and be sure that your teacher is in the video
• All students must sign consent forms
• Upload your entry onto School.Tube
• Open to USA middle schools and high schools that are not-for-profit schools
• Entries can be submitted up to March 4 at 11:59 ET

The I Don’t Want To Miss Contest is a great way to do something creative while spreading the word about flu prevention.
