Is it possible that I have more shopping to do? After all of my Christmas shopping for gifts, for food and for making the last few weeks easier to handle, I thought I was done with shopping for a while. But, since two of the big Christmas gifts for my older daughter Alicia didn’t arrive and my younger daughter Samantha wants to make a return and got two of the same gifts, I’m looking for more shopping deals.

For Alicia, I was able to find the same gifts I ordered before. One of them wasn’t on sale any longer, but since it was the retailer’s fault for not sending my order, they worked it out, so that I got a discount. I’m glad that I was sure to compare shopping prices before I went ahead and clicked on “pay”.

Samantha is considering another Wii video game in place of one of the Harry Potter games she got. I think with the new games she got for Christmas and the stack she already has, she would think that she had enough. Who am I kidding? She’s already searching online to find another game that will interest her.

My husband and I received a gift card and some money so we’re going through the items we need for our home. We’re really trying to find ways to reduce some of our monthly expenses. We still can’t afford a new air conditioner unit or new windows for the whole house. Since we save money on groceries at the commissary and like to stock up on sale items, we’ve been pricing freezers. This would also help us make less trips to the commissary which is quite a distance away from us.

As much as I hate to admit it, I’ve actually been doing more shopping since Christmas and it hasn’t been the way I’ve wanted to spend my time.
