• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Patient Style Slipper Socks Product Review

December 8th, 2009 by Connie Roberts

Patient Style Slipper Socks Product Review

Unfortunately I’ve seen too much of hospitals recently. With my mother being sick and now my husband, it’s as if we know the place inside and out. One thing I’ve learned is that when you’re sick, it’s really better to be home unless you need constant monitoring, than to be in the hospital. The reason is germs.

When my husband had a serious infection and begged to be discharged one doctor told us that he should be home since he no longer needed an IV because he could get a worse infection. I was shocked to hear that!

Patient Style has the right idea with their Slipper Socks. They are anti-microbial which means they provide protection from bacteria. They have men’s blue and women’s pink socks. Just recently my husband wore his own socks to walk around his hospital room and then kept them on when he was in bed. I said, “Yuck” but he was so tired and weak he didn’t care. These slipper socks would make feel that it was OK to do this.

socks1My Review: The socks are so soft. The bottoms have a non-slide design which is cute. They are about calf high, just perfect when you are cold in freezing hospital rooms. The color is bright and cheery. I had my mother try them on and she loved them. She’ll be taking them tomorrow when she goes in for her surgery. They’ll be used again at home as she is always cold.

Purchase: Visit Patient Style Slipper Socks product page to buy for yourself or as a gift for an expectant mom. These are great gifts for anyone actually as they can be used at home of course. Price is $15.

I can’t enter your competition but I will vouch for the comfort and usefulness of slipper socks!

    9. Barbara Says:

Those socks look great. I have some from a hospital, but they aren’t near as nice and plush as these look!

    10. Loretta at Says:

Last year at this time my husband was in the hospital for quite awhile. Then in and out afterwards for 2 surgeries on his foot in early 2009. Oddly enough, he loves slipper socks, so he was more than happy to bring home whatever slipper socks they gave him at the hospital! They have some different kids at the drug store, but none of them are ever the right size for his big ole feet.

One word: Disney. :) And we didn’t have any socks either. I could have used these when I had my surgery a couple of months though.
