Replacement Windows
December 7th, 2009 by Connie RobertsWe need to find replacement windows for our home because we are paying way too much money for our electric bill. Our windows are the original ones that came with our home which was built 16 years ago. We have to put towels on the window sills when it is cold and it does get cold in this part of Florida. Last night we hit 37 degrees.
Penguin Windows provide replacement windows that are energy efficient, just what we need. The company was founded in 1984. Because they have been around for a long time, they are reliable and even offer a 100% warranty on their windows.
There is now a $1500 tax credit available in the US for purchasing energy efficient products. Penguin Windows is offering another 10% discount on top of that credit. You can use their calculator to see how much money you can save on your electric bill. They provide a free in-home presentation and if you sign up you are entered into their giveaway worth $25,000.
They guarantee a savings of 40% off your energy bill and the calculator will show you your savings by month, by one year, five year, etc. Your purchase will most likely pay for itself in savings after a while. And don’t think there’s just plain old windows available. There’s many choices that will make your home look fantastic.

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

Sounds like the perfect time to get new windows! we had to put plastic on the windows at our old house–over 100 yrs old. our new house is much more insulated but ou back bedroom gets so cold! maybe we should cover the window this winter to see if that makes a difference.

My wife and I are over on the east coast outside of DC. We’ve gotten a few estimate thus far, the company in the lead is DreamHome Remodeling. Is Penguin have any locations on the east coast?

We did about a month of research before we started to call contractors for estimates. The brand we decided to go with was the Gorell 5100 series. It was 1 of the few windows we could not find a negative response/review on. We got 4 quotes and the company we decided to go with was Distinctive Design & Remodeling in Northern VA. The entire process took about 3 weeks and the windows look amazing.
