TIA Toy Websites For Parents

TIA  toy websites for parents help with holiday shopping. TIA is the Toy Industry Association which is a not-for-profit association that focuses on toy safety. To help parents and others who buy toys for the holiday season, there are two brand new sites to check out. They are sure to help you with your shopping list.

Toy Info

ToyInfo.org – is specifically for parents. You’ll get assistance in choosing the perfect toy for your child. Watch videos about shopping tips, sign up for Recall Alerts, ask questions on the Discussion Board and learn about how children play. You can download presentations about Intergenerational Play and about the benefits of play.

Be sure to watch the video “The Moms of Toy Safety” which is a discussion held by six senior toy industry leaders, all moms, about selecting the correct toys for your children and ensuring your childrens’ safety.

ToyAwards.org – is considered the “Oscars®” of the toy industry. Find the best toys of the year as voted by top toy industry experts.  Download a shopping list to take along with you when choosing the most appropriate and safe toys for your children. For the first time, children and parents can vote for their favorites on this site. By voting you can enter to win one or more prize packages. (The toys from each category.) You can view each toy individually to see the details and the prices.

TIA has provided helpful toy websites for parents to inform and educate about safety, what types of toys are deemed “the best” of the year and how to chose toys that your children will enjoy playing with for a long time.

I was provided information only by Team Mom for this review. I am entered into a contest to win a prize package of toys. The views written here are my own. Please see my Disclosure Policy for more information.

It is amaizing how often toys are still getting recalled. I am paranoid about paint after a TV exposee showed how many had lead in them!
