• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Financial Advice To Avoid Foreclosure

Sign Of The Times - Foreclosure

Imagine getting calls from your mortgage company’s collection agency, dreading to get your mail for fear of a notice that your house will be taken away from you just as the holidays approach, or for that matter any time. I hope that you haven’t waited this long to get financial advice on how to avoid foreclosure. Even if you did you can still get help with credit counseling.

I’ve just been through these calls due to an error that my bank made on paying my mortgage bill. Even though I’ve been on time with my payments for years and have never missed a payment, after November 1st, I began to get calls from the mortgage company collection department. I was in shock and scared. Because of the bleak economy and the sad statistics on people losing their homes, there’s no waiting on the bank’s part, even for your grace period. For my friends who have lost jobs and can’t keep up with payments, they are facing this every month. Some of them have turned to credit counseling to get advice on how to keep their homes. They are being proactive in these bleak times.

Consolidated Credit Counseling Services has been in business since the early 1990′s, they have trained financial and housing counselors and are members of the Better Business Bureau. Howard S. Dvorkin, MBA, CPA is the founder of the organization and can be seen on CNN, MSNBC, ABC Nightline, etc. They assist you with programs to help people avoid foreclosure such as the HUD mortgage default and even with pre-purchase and other credit issues. If you are going through what I did for a few days, you deserve to find a way out.
