Sunsweet Ones Review And Giveaway
November 20th, 2009 by Connie RobertsSunsweet Ones are dried plums or prunes which are individually wrapped. Prunes are considered a Super Fruit and are unexpectedly delicious, sweet and juicy. When I think of prunes I think of elderly people who need to eat them so they can relieve constipation because I saw them in my grandparents home. I remember them being dried out, but not any more.
What is a Super Fruit? According to Cheryl Forberg, registered dietitian and nutritionist for The Biggest Loser, it is a a fruit that is high in antioxidants, promotes a strong immune system, a healthy heart, healthy bones, regularity and weight loss. No need for it to be an exotic fruit.
Since Sunsweet Ones are wrapped individually they remain juicy. They keep you from getting your hands sticky too. Just hold the prune in the package and pop in your mouth.
My Review: My favorite thing about Sunsweet Ones is that they are individually wrapped. I can grab a handful for my purse and snack on them while I’m on the go. They taste as sweet as candy yet five of them have 100 calories, with 0 Calories from Fat, 0 g Saturated Fat and 0 mg Cholesterol. With the issues I have with low potassium, knowing that they are higher in potassium than bananas makes me want to eat even more. What an easy way to eat nutritious food with Sunsweet Ones. I really, really tried to have Samantha try these but she is one of the biggest picky eaters I know. I’m sure that other children would happily try them and think that they are eating candy or even fruit snacks, you know the ones that don’t have any fruit in them.

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.
